About this tool

Made for the task at hand.

Create a consistent comparison form for ordinary email addresses. Basic mode trims and lowercases; optional Gmail modes apply Google’s special dot and plus-tag handling only to gmail.com and googlemail.com.

How to use

  1. Enter one email address.
  2. Choose basic normalization or the desired Gmail dot and plus-tag rules.
  3. Copy the normalized address for comparison or deduplication.
Your work stays yours.
Tool inputs are processed locally in your browser and are never sent to KitVerse servers. Clear the workspace when using a shared device.
Common questions
Do dots and plus tags have the same meaning for every provider?

No. Those are provider-specific rules. This tool applies them only to Gmail domains; basic normalization never removes either character.

Does googlemail.com become gmail.com?

Yes, in every Gmail-specific mode. In basic mode the domain remains unchanged except for lowercasing. Lowercasing the whole address is a practical normalization choice, not a claim that every server ignores local-part case.
